HOW TO PREPARE FOR A JUICE CLEANSE
It's important to prepare your body for cleansing before the cleanse actually start. This will allow a smooth transition when adapting to the new diet. The amount of time you choose to pre-cleanse all depends on how long you plan to partake in the juice cleanse.
It is recommended to maintain a light diet 3-5 days prior to starting your cleanse. Doing so, will aid in food cravings during your juice cleanse. Start your day with a cup of hot lemon water 30 minutes before eating and eat smaller meal portions throughout the day.
Try to cut back on caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco products. Be sure to drink plenty of water, this will need to be done before, during, and after the cleansing process. Remember to get a full nights rest.
Although binge eating may be ideal before starting a cleanse, it is not exactly the best idea. Avoid fried foods and red meats.
WHAT TO DO DURING A JUICE CLEANSE
Taking care of your body during your cleanse can highly impact your results. First and foremost, drink plenty of water. Drink as much water as possible in between juices. Get into enjoying a nice hot cup of lemon water in the morning 30 minutes before consuming anything else. Set a schedule for your juices, drinking one juice every 2-3 hours is recommended.
Allow 2 hours before bed to finish your last juice for the day.
Exercise if possible, and stay motivated- YOU GOT THIS! Don't feel discouraged if you feel the need to eat during your cleanse. Eating fresh fruits/veggies, nuts, or a salad with vinegar or lemon as a dressing substitute will help you without hindering your progress.
ADJUSTING AFTER A JUICE CLEANSE
Congratulations! You've made it to the end. I know the first thing you'd probably love to do is dive into a full course meal. Allow your body a couple of days to adjust. Start out with light foods for the first day, and then slowly add in heavier foods depending on your body's tolerance.
